Welcome!

It's been almost 1 year since they turned the lights off and locked the door on the Toledo office. Over the years we have made many good friends some still with NW and some who've gone on to other adventures. No matter where our paths have taken us or will lead us into the future we all carry fond memories of days gone by.......Fantasy football competitions, Nutty bar vs. Oatmeal cream Pie, Seinfeld re-enactments,  etc. It's not the Bricks and Mortar we miss, it's the fellowship. Only those who have "been there" could understand and appreciate quirkiness at it's best. After reading Kevin's personal blog recently and Christy's recent comment that she didn't miss "being in "A" office , she missed "OUR" office, I came up with the idea for this blog. Our very own "virtual" lunchroom where we can share updates on each others lives, Doug can keep us posted on the latest happenings in Buffalo, Ryan can lament over the latest Bengals loss, talk about the latest episode of "The Office", etc. It'll be what we make it. So let's give it a go and have some fun. Only one rule!! The same rule that applied in our old lunch room ...."no shop talk" !

  3. Well hello!!! It's been entirely too long. Yes, my Bengals did roll over and play dead over the weekend, but at least we made the playoffs.

Job is going well. I was traveling every other week for the last 2 years. I am starting my own team now, and travel should be less frequent.

Other things of note: my twin got married in Florida this year. He graduated from UNC with his PhD and got a sick consulting job. Overall, he is making me look like a loser! :)

I saw Doug got married. I didn't realize he moved back to Buffalo tho...fill me in!

  5. Most of you know I am writing a book. My last and hopefully final edit of the book was completed on 12-31-09 @ 11:59pm. I am now looking to self publish the book with an Amazon company so the book will be available through Amazon. We are designing the cover now as well. I have lined up 4 speaking engagements for 2010 so far. My first is with a group in Lima a week from Saturday. Once the book is available more engagements should come.
My web sites are: mymindonpaper.wordpress.org and the book website is growingupblackinwhite.com. Over the Holidays I met my birth sister an brother, an aunt and uncle, 2 nieces, two cousins, my birth mother's best friend and still searching for my birth father.

That is pretty much it. We had a great Holiday, the lions are horrid, and The Office is in syndication.

Hope all is well with everybody

  7. Well, you all know me, it took some time to warm up to this process, stop laughing Cathie! I am with Christy on this, I do not miss the office, just the overall comraderie (?) Really miss the laughing (thanks to the boys) and miss taking time out to eat (only positive to this is losing weight) Ryan, I have been watching your Bengals and will be rooting for them! Kevin, am wishing you all the best with the book and your new found family! Hope your family is well... Most of you know that we have a new grandaughter, Jocelyn, she is now 4 mos old and is an absolute doll, we actually keep her quite a bit, so now I am back with all of the baby crap (swing, stroller, crib, bouncy seat) Madison is 13 going on 18, has a "boyfriend" and his name is, no kidding, "Moose", thank goodness he lives in Lima (don't ask) Doug... hope that you are not keeping those late nights like you were, stay home and enjoy the pregnancy. Thanks for this Lori, and for allowing me to "blog" for the very first time (at least I admit it!)

  8. Haven't heard from Doug, Chris, Carolyn or Don yet. I resent their invites. If you talk with them, prod them to joining us. This will be only as fun as we make it by regular participation. I am sick of snow and winter already. I definitely plan on spending my winters in FLA.---if I can ever afford to retire. I'm going to Fla the last week of the month. Hope it warms up down there by then, I'm in desperate need of some quality beach time. Ryan's Bengals lost in the 1st round, although I'm a long suffering Cleveland fan, I was rooting for them as an Ohio team. American Idol started up again last night, but I don't usually tune in much until it get's down to the top 10. Although, I might start watching some earlier episodes when Ellen Degeneres starts appearing. See if that livens up a show that is starting to get old.

  9. I'm in! Get the party started. I brought virtual Pizelles. MMMM! I'd share, but you didn't put your order in. I brought just enough for my lunch, but if Lease gives me some of his 5 day old lunch that he found under one of the seats in his station wagon, I can spare 1 Pizelle.

Idol rocked was great. I love watching people make fools out of themselves. Makes me feel better about myself.

    I gotta bounce!

    Doug
